The Vermont Artisan Cheese Slicer

 Intstructions for Care and Use:

• Keep the slicer clean and use food-grade mineral oil periodically to protect the surface from absorbing food residue.
• After each use, wipe with a clean damp cloth and do not use soap or detergent.
• Rinse but do NOT submerge the slicer or put in a dishwasher.
• Not intended as a knife cutting board.  This will decrease surface quality for cleaning.
• Decrease the wire tension before storing the slicer.  This will ensure longer lifespan of the wire, and also prevent possible breakage due to wood expansion from rising humidity.
• Do not over-tighten the wire tension adjuster.  The slicer works fine when the wire is moderately taught.
